Walking with Nordic poles engages your whole body creating a balanced, dynamic workout on continually changing terrain. While correct technique will burn more calories, it also leads to improved posture and balance. Studies show that nordic walking alleviates chronic pain in the hips, knees and lower back.
The HYVÄ Nordic Walking technique is based in the sensory-motor learning principles of the Feldenkrais Method, to provide a full mind/body experience. Exercising outdoors has many additional benefits including stress management, improved mood and increased frequency of exercise.
